Carnegie Hall Citywide: Calidore String Quartet, featuring Bridget Kibbey

The French Belle Époque ushered audiences into new harmonies and emotions, with the concert harp playing a soloist’s role for the first time in classical music’s history!

With origins in Paris and the French Masters of Modernism, Kibbey showcases the harp’s most opulent masterworks alongside local superstars, the Calidore String Quartet, who first made international headlines as the winner of the $100,000 Grand Prize of the 2016 M-Prize International Chamber Music Competition. The Calidore’s take listeners into the most nuanced of timbre and color in Claude Debussy’s iconic string quartet. Hear this talented team before they head out on tour!
